NSCC Championship Docs and Regulations

The Nottingham Sports Car Club sprint & hillclimb championship operates to a set of regulations designed to give any competitor the chance to win the championship, regardless of the car they drive (within reason!).

For each event, a set of target times have been set, for each of the classes. The closer that the competitor gets to the target time, the more points that he or she scores. The target times are all based on previous performances by NSCC drivers in the preceding years.

Target times and other regs are available in the table below.

All targets are issued with a caveat that if anyone can come up with a time and supporting evidence that is different to that published, then the Technical Sub-Committee will consider any claim.
2009 sees the introduction of list 1B tyres to our championship which will create a deal of change within the Locaterfield class targets. This is the best data I have at present, but there are competitors out there that know the class records for their own class (I am pretty confident I have everything for Formula Fords!) so please e-mail me with your comments and suggestions, providing they are polite.
Have a great season and I look forward to meeting you all at Curborough in May.

The target times displayed in this table are those derived from actual class records supplied by each organising club of the venues we visit each year. The fgures in red refer to those times which have been calculated where existing data is unrecorded or unknown.
The times are my 'best effort' and are by no means the final word. If you feel there is a target time that you can challenge and verify with name, date and confirmation of circuit layout - I would be delighted to hear from you :).
Similarly, if you can provide an 'actual' time as opposed to the calculated version presented, I would be equally keen to listen to your suggestion

Target times for 2006

All target times for the NSCC are based on the national record for each class at each venue and the table here represents the best data that I have been able to obtain. If you can provide evidence to support a claim that a particular time has been improved upon then I would be delighted to hear from you –
Please note that the times for Thoresby are calculated, except for those times which were improved upon in 2005. The Thoresby records appear elsewhere on this website for comparison.
Cadwell – Although there was a non-championship round held during 2005, the data that it provided was incomplete and variable in its quality. A large proportion of the times have therefore been calculated, based on the data from this first event. The same ruling will apply to these targets as for Thoresby – the calculated time will remain until improved upon by an actual time.
Elvington – 20 point rule will apply as the course has been changed with the incorporation of two chicanes.
Barkston Heath – New venue; 20 point rule applies (check the regs if you are unfamiliar with this ruling).
Target times in red are calculated times.

All amends will be incorporated and the targets declared final two weeks before the first event – Aprill 22nd at Aintree.
